The Ryan Haight Act Known as
Online Pharmacy Consumer Protection Act of 2008
Sec. 2. Requirement of a valid prescription for
controlled substances dispensed by means of the Internet.

SUMMARY: The Ryan Haight Online Pharmacy Consumer Protection Act,
which was enacted on October 15, 2008,amended the Controlled Substances Act and Controlled Substances Import and Export Act by adding several new provisions to prevent the illegal distribution and dispensing of controlled substances by means of the Internet.

DEA Warning–Buying drugs online may be illegal and dangerous!

Federal law prohibits buying controlled substances such as narcotic pain relievers (e.g., OxyContin®, Vicodin®), sedatives (e.g., Valium®, Xanax®, Ambien®), stimulants (e.g., phentermine, phendimetrazine, Adderall®, Ritalin®) and anabolic steroids (e.g., Winstrol®, Equipoise®) without a valid prescription from your doctor.

This means there must be a real doctor-patient relationship, which by most state laws requires a physical examination. Prescriptions written by “cyber doctors” relying on online questionnaires are not legitimate under the law.

This pharmacy is NOT a scam. They do deliver what you pay for, at a price that is considerably LESS than your standard CO-pay. This (accusing) website was likely founded by big pharma who worry about their profit margins when people get smart and quit paying their extortive prices, which threaten health when patients can’t afford their meds. Pharmacies like safemeds allow people to actually AFFORD their medications. Can’t say that in America!

abby, the accusing website is saying that federal laws require that online pharmacy be registered to ensure patients safety. Affordability is awesome however patient safety and trustworthiness is as important to consumers.

Just got my checking account hacked today for almost $10,000.00!!! It was an odd amount in the upper $9,000.00.

I made two separate ‘e’check payments to ‘safemeds’ and this is the first time in my life that I have ever used this method to pay something. They weren’t accepting credit cards so I went ahead since another site recommended this company. I’m thinking that whomever hacked my account today must have called the bank in order to know how much was in that account. This is the ONLY purchase I have made on my checking account in the past 3 weeks so I am 100% sure that they are responsible!!! Anyone can say whatever they want, but I know this to be certain. I’m just very glad that I have a friend who works at the bank and got right on this for me…. I will get my money bank, but at this point I’m not sure if the bank is covering it or if they can get it back from the hacker. I have been on the phone back and forth for an hour now, so I checked this site to see if anyone else had had a problem.I don’t want this to happen to anyone else!

It was for order #128671 last week and then another order three days ago on 2/9/14 for Imitrex (no order # given for that one and no verification email). I used check #9422 for that one and the amount was $69.73 (obviously I won’t give more info than that).

I will post more as my bank updates me……

I should have put the money in a savings account, but didn’t want to have 2 accounts (my bank friend is making me do it now). I’m just SICK over this!

Get a separate bank account just for online things Like this. Put a hold on overdrafts. Put just the amount you will use at each time and just keep the a account open with minimum to nothing so there will be no hacking. Go figure I order things from legitimate companies here in the USA and my account still got hacked and am talking Amazon and co.
